The last two years of HUE have been a crazy, exhausting, wonderful, tiring, whirlwind of a learning experience for me. I’ve met many wonderful couples and clients, fostered strong relationships with vendor friends and learned a lot both about myself and my business. I’ve learned what I love doing, what I could live without, and where my limits are.
Through all of this though, I continue to maintain the drive to grow my business, and realistically there’s only so much I can do myself. That’s why I’ve recently decided to bring on some amazing team members to help grow and support HUE in areas that could use some extra attention. Please help me in welcoming the new crew!
Jessie Rae S. – Event Consultant
Jessie has been my go-to lady as an event aide since my very first HUE wedding back in 2014. We originally met each other working together at Madison Children’s Museum and have remained friends for several years now. When I decided I was looking to expand HUE and bring on more event leads, she was my logical first choice.
My favorite thing about Jessie is that she’s the perfect creative and artistic mind to pair with my straight-forward and logistical thinking. She has an eye for design and is a very handy DIYer (both skills I plan to take a lot of advantage of J). She started running events on her own this past fall and is slated for weddings this next season already as well. Maybe you’ll be lucky enough to have her!
Carlie S. -Business Marketing Intern
While I’ve done a lot with HUE, there are still hundreds of new ideas that I want to implement and not enough time to do them. That’s why I decided it might be a good idea to bring a young, fresh mind into the mix with a can-do attitude and great work ethic. Enter Carlie!
Carlie is a talented student from the Journalism School at UW-Madison and also originally hails from my own neck of the woods.. gold ole’ Ozaukee County. She’s already been immensely helpful in implementing the HUE rental program, as well as building up our vendor referral list to make efficient recommendations to clients. I can’t wait to see what else she can do!
I couldn’t do what I’m doing today without this talented team. I’m very much looking forward to this new year and all the opportunities it brings!
PS: I would also like to give a BIG thanks to Hayli, my other intern who helped revive the blog and is a talented social media specialist. She had to move on to bigger and better things, but we wish her the best of luck on her future path!
